A reduced fat and protein content makes it ideal for older dogs who don't get as much exercise. It also helps to maintain dog's weight and reduce stress on their joints. A hypoallergenic dog food, it excludes many known allergens, such as wheat, wheat gluten, dairy, pork, beef and soya, making it suitable for dogs with sensitive tummies. We add glucosamine and chondroitin to our senior dog food. We also include seaweed oil as it contains DHA (Docosahexenoic Acid).

Lovejoys® crunchy, turkey flavoured kibble is good for dog's teeth and gums, and can help remove plaque and tartar, reducing unpleasant breath in the process. There are no added artificial colours, flavours or preservatives in any of our senior dog food. Naturally good is the way we make it and promise that we always will.

Our dry dog food for senior dogs is a complete food and can be fed alone.  If you want to add a little more variety to dinner time, it can also be mixed with wet dog food.  If you want to try combination feeding, we recommend using Lovejoys Hypoallergenic Senior Wet Dog Food.
